Winter Words

Words spilling out like winter wool

After meditating, some days the silence is heavy, comforting, like sitting under a thick white quilt on a snowy February morning, holding an earthen mug, drinking in the warmth of awareness. Other days, clarity shines brightly through and the words arrange themselves in crystalline patterns of thoughts, images, passages, poems, free-verse, and eloquence.

Then there are days like today, when the words, images, and memories dance anxiously around like children waiting to go play in the snow, frantically spilling over the winter basket looking for hats, scarves, and missing mittens, all while chattering for their mother’s attention.
