After meditating, some days the silence is heavy, comforting, like sitting under a thick white quilt on a snowy February morning, holding an earthen mug, drinking in the warmth of awareness. Other days, clarity shines brightly through and the words arrange themselves in crystalline patterns of thoughts, images, passages, poems, free-verse, and eloquence. After a winter meditation, this poem wrote itself during the free-writing session that followed. Crystalline Snow is the perfect stillness of water. Dance, settle, surrender, flow, expand. Dance with the turbulence, Blowing round the birth of the storm. Settle gently as the air becomes too heavy to resist.
